Simply send the check of $5 to Immigration Voice at the address listed in the first post as if you were paying a utility bill. That way your bank will send IV a check of $5.00 (or whatever amount you want it to) and IV gets the WHOLE $5 and no fees are deducted.

RFE, I hope not.
What is everyone's opinion on travelling if there is an RFE or Denial? Does that immediately invalidate the AP?
And what if someone was overseas when the denial occured? Can they not come back in at all?
I have to travel outside the country for two weeks, leaving on Dec 17.
What I hate the most about this situation is that I have to worry like my life was at stake, for some guy's misinterpretation about my documentation, despite following the process to a Tee.

Looks like IRS is not going to give us back 1200$ as part of the stimulus package,which they were planning to earlier.

mmm...didnt knew about this..After living and working here for ten years, i am still in-eligible for the tax rebate...phew!!!! (filed jointly, no SSN for my wife)..maybe i will claim it all next year....I am eternally optimistic :-)

Came here in july 1997
filed LC in 2003 thinking it would be useful to stay on H1 as long as possible!! and the rest is on my profile..
I wonder if anybody thinks it makes sense to create a law which simply says after 15 (or some X years) of legal presence in the US you will be given a GC no matter the back ground! In that way we know exactly where the deadline is irrespective of some government agency's whim.
to make it more arbitrable, how about if one completes the 40 tax credits and is clean of criminal records.

Some one get list from Walk In Medical Care who all went to medicals for 485 in June :D :D .
When I went for submitting and collecting medicals there were around 15 + each time last month.

I agree 100% too. Just feel so helpless.
After reading all your comments, I reached to a conclusion
We all are being fooled and frusturated by USCIS.
Now the question is, what are we going to do about it, keep complaining and whinning about it, or do something constructive.
Well I believe when we are all so knowledgabel about USCIS efficiency, what do we do next?
Well lets give out a big shout to something big, get some media attention and put pressure on USCIS. Unless we still choose to visit IV to express our frusturations and then logg of this webiste and continue to our daily cores.
Lets just wake up for one more time, and do something big, phone calls, faxes does not give us a public exposure, what we need now is public exposure, I have have been saying this for a while but no one seems to give an important consideration. There is no official process or filing fee. Attorneys generally represent both the employer and the employee. Because revoking the petition could harm the employee, a conflict of interest arises. Accordingly, most immigration attorneys would not want to be involved in assisting in the revocation of petitions.
Do you mean to say, the employer just sends a letter with a signature and LIN numbers to revoke and USCIS revokes them?
In that case does USCIS send a confirmation of revocation of all the requested LIN numbers to be revoked? Or it is just a one-sided handshake?

I just spoke to Congressional office and this is what she has to say:

But she agreed that my second MTR might have been on sidelines and the congressional office inquiry into the matter could have influenced USCIS to review my case ( probably with a supervisor) immediately. Finally we have decided to forgo (just for now) the process of writing letter to the NSC Director as it might not add much weight to the process, as congressional office would be repeating the same argument that my Attorney has made regarding the AC21, which a supervisor is already looking at.
I have already waited for 3 months. Another 2 months might take its toll on my emotional drain.

The original word is "enactment date", which would be the date the bill is signed into law. The effective date will be oct, 2008.
So people who didn't get their 140 through before the president signs the bill would be screwed?
You are not really screwed if (a big if) somehow you get a chance to file for I-485.
PS: I am not supporting the bill and I hate it as much as you do.
