In the last several months, the worldwide demand for immigrant visas in the EB-2 category has been lower than the State Department expected. To make sure that all available EB-2 immigrant visas are used, DOS has, since April, made some unused worldwide numbers available for China and India and will continue to do so in July. If worldwide demand for these visas increases, however, DOS could impose cut-off dates or declare the China or India EB-2 category unavailable, as it did for India in February 2008, possibly even in the middle of the month
What are chances of Eb2 india will become unavailbale. Core members is there any companign that we can do to move this thing forwards. I called CHC and local lawmakers.

I do not see a reason for what they are doing. The Original July VB was in Archived Bulletins as of july 2nd. The revised one is placed in the current visa Bulletins. So why the changes? is there any diference?

hey,
It seems like you are inspiring lot of peoples to upgrade to EB2 which is good. Actually saying this and really doing a successful upgrade takes time and depends on lot of things like economic situation.
After my Eb3 I-140 finally got Approved in Jan 2009 , I started searching for employers who would do the Eb3 to Eb2 upgrade .. But there was no job , not even contracts - so who will file a EB2 PERM labor for you in that situation ? Plus if someone files a EB2 Labor just like that - they could be audited. The Job needs to be EB2 level and you need to have Eb2 qualifications which lot of Eb3 has - But both conditions has to meet for a "successful upgrade".
What do you say ? Do you know any other shortcut than what i mentioned - then please enlighten us :)

Just dont get what the senator is intending here ....

Does this mean every H1b at MS, Apple invents ipod, iphone, USB etc.... and there is no similarity in the nature of work done by him compared to that coming from a consulting company at a client site..... he talks about products or technologies but what about services/speciality occupation using these products/technologies ... that is exactly what most of the IT sector does....

Thanks to the glorious service of the Atlanta center :mad: I missed the I-485 bus by 7 days( Labor cleared on Aug end ). Many people with later PD's got cleared from the Chicago PERM center . Now I just watch as all members get their EAD's and AP's while I wait with nothing but hope and watch legislation after legislation fail in the senate and house , and the letters flying all over the place .
Very SAD to know that you missed the opportunity to file AOS by 7 days. I know how painful it can be.
Do you know of any efforts to speed up the ATL PERM processing ? I see the graph at has a downward trend lately (less average time for approval).

For committed people like you, we can request IV core for some special consideration.
But I support this initiative. Just see the FOIA thread. We could not even pool up 5K and there are at least 5000 members out of which at least 500 active users.
Unless there is some intiative like this, it will be impossible for pushing any lobbying activities. There are many people who wants every thing free.

It is really tricky to come up with a deadline for EB employment. US is set of laws and the law is same for every one it applies. for example:If you not from a retrogressed country you will get your GC even if you start now (before enactment of this bill).
Please know the difference between bill and law. If ever this particular bill becomes law the deadline for any cases filed under previous law will not be rejected, this is as clear as mud, to make the law same for all who applied/pending /approved on the day of enactment!!.:eek:

My husbands DL expires on Oct 1st, 2007. The North Carolina DMV insists that he should have a valid H1B visa stamp in his PP in order to renew the license. He does have a valid H1B extension with I-94 at the bottom till Oct.2009. We dont want to leave the country as we are filing for our I-485's.
Any one in NC have any suggestions?
